Terms of Use
These Terms set out the conditions for using the macOS app SlouchWatch (the “App”) and its paid features, SlouchWatch Pro, provided by Hoonslab (“we” or “us”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If the two conflict, these Terms prevail, but they do not reduce any rights the Apple EULA guarantees you. This is a translation of the Korean version; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. The service
The App uses headphone motion data from your AirPods to estimate how your head tilt changes compared with a baseline posture you set, and provides posture alerts, break reminders, and a posture history. The App requires a Mac running macOS 14 or later and AirPods that support headphone motion.
2. Not for medical use
The App is not a medical device. Scores, levels, ‘Estimated CVA’, and other values it displays are estimates, not actual measurements, and must not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. If you have pain or other symptoms, talk to a medical professional.
3. Free features and Pro
- Free: 2 hours of posture tracking a day, basic posture alerts, and the last 7 days of history.
- Pro: No tracking time limit, full history, screen-edge warning color, and detailed alert settings.
We may change which features are included to improve the service, but we will not remove core Pro features during a period you have already paid for.
4. Auto-renewing subscriptions
- Pro is offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and, where available, as a one-time purchase. Prices are those shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store, and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription on your Mac in App Store → Account → Manage Subscriptions, or in System Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions. If you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- If we raise prices, we will notify you in advance through Apple’s process and ask for your consent where required.
5. Refunds and restoring purchases
Apple handles all payments and refunds for the App. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot refund Apple payments ourselves. If you switch Macs or reinstall the App, use ‘Restore Purchases’ (구매 복원) on the plan screen to restore purchases made with the same Apple ID.
6. Your responsibilities
- Do not reverse engineer the App, bypass its payment or usage limits, or copy or redistribute it without permission.
- Do not rely on the App’s alerts in situations that need your full attention, such as driving or operating machinery.
7. Data and privacy
Your posture history is stored only on your Mac, and we cannot back it up or recover it. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to or discontinuation of the service
We may change features or discontinue the service because of changes in how macOS or AirPods work, changes to Apple’s policies, or similar reasons. If we discontinue a paid service, we will announce it in the App or on this website 30 days in advance.
9. Limitation of liability
The App’s estimates can be inaccurate depending on how you wear your AirPods, your device connection, your movement, and other factors. Unless we act intentionally or with gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from decisions based on the App’s estimates or from lost history. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we will post a notice on this page at least 7 days before the change takes effect, or 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you. If you keep using the App after the change, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
