Terms of Use
These Terms set out the conditions for using the iOS app SEVO (the “App”) and its paid membership, provided by Hoonslab (“we” or “us”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If the two conflict, these Terms prevail, but they do not reduce any rights the Apple EULA guarantees you. This is a translation of the Korean Terms; if they differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. The service
The App stores the workouts you enter (exercise, weight, reps, time) on your device and shows today’s log next to an earlier one. It does not recommend or coach workouts.
2. Health and safety
The App is not a medical device and does not give training or medical advice. Values such as estimated 1RM are reference figures calculated from what you enter. What you lift and how is your own decision. If you feel pain or anything unusual, stop and talk to a professional.
3. Free features and membership
- Free: logging sets, comparing with your last log, choosing what to compare by, the last month of history and exercise trends, two routines, workout photos, the in-app rest timer, the Home Screen widget, and making and restoring backup files.
- Membership: your full history and exercise trends beyond the last month, the rest timer in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, and unlimited routines.
On the free plan your records are still saved on the device with no time limit, and buying the membership opens all of them. We may change which features are included to improve the service, but we will not remove core features of a membership you have already bought.
4. Payment
- The membership is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not an auto-renewing subscription and there are no further charges.
- The price is the one shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store, and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The membership belongs to the Apple Account that bought it. If you switch devices or reinstall the App, use ‘Restore’ on the membership screen to get it back.
5. Refunds
Apple handles all payments and refunds for the App. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot refund Apple payments ourselves. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer protection law.
6. Your records and backups
Your workout records and any workout photos you add are stored only on your device, and both go into your backup file. We run no server, so we cannot keep or recover them for you. Deleting the App or losing the device removes the records, so please keep a file made with ‘Make a backup file’ in Settings.
7. Your responsibilities
- Do not reverse engineer the App, bypass its payment or usage limits, or copy or redistribute it without permission.
- Do not operate the App in situations that need your full attention, such as driving or handling equipment.
8. Exercise artwork
The exercise drawings come from Workout Guide (Bryl Lim) and Everkinetic (Greg Priday) and are used under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Credits are listed in the App under Settings → Credits and licenses.
9. Changes to or discontinuation of the service
We may change features or discontinue the service because of changes in iOS, Apple’s policies, or similar reasons. If we discontinue a paid service, we will announce it in the App or on this website 30 days in advance. Records on your device and your backup files remain even if the service ends.
10. Limitation of liability
Unless we act intentionally or with gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from decisions based on figures the App shows, from lost records, or from injuries during exercise. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we will post a notice on this page at least 7 days before the change takes effect, or 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you. If you keep using the App after the change, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
